We do not offer any warranty on installed tiles.
Please see our Terms & Policies page for more information.
We mainly ship via courier (UPS/FedEx).
Please see our Terms & Policies page for damaged tiles.
We ship all orders $200 and above with a signature requirement. The standard courier service we use is UPS for most orders. If your order is being delivered with a signature requirement and you would like UPS to leave your package at your home, even when you're not there to sign, you can do this by either signing the card they would leave by your door or by signing up for UPS My Choice® online at www.ups.com/mychoice.
While the tiles we distribute are produced and shipped the traditional way, we try to implement a variety of eco-friendly measures along the way, such as allowing our employees to work from home or minimizing packing materials when possible.
Metal tile-related information
Please see our Installation Page and our 9-min Video.
Get a quick setting epoxy to glue the detached ceramic backing to the tile.
While they are technically water-resistant (not waterproof) and rust-resistant (not rustproof), we do not recommend using them for outdoor projects that leave the tiles unprotected from the elements. However, depending on your location, an outdoor semi-covered kitchen could be acceptable.
We do recommend using any of the metal tiles as kitchen backsplash and/or on bathroom walls.
We do not recommend the tiles be used around pools or on shower walls. They could potentially be used as accents on section of the shower walls that are usually not fully wet (i.e. above or right underneath the shower head).
However, copper tiles can be installed on shower walls, as long as you like the patina effect that will appear overtime.
The copper tiles will patina/oxidize if left exposed to the elements. The patina actually protects the copper tile from further corrosion, making it in essence waterproof. If you like the patina color on copper tiles, then copper tiles can be used on unprotected outdoor kitchens/showers. If, however, you do not appreciate the color, we recommend the use of natural carnauba wax which will prevent the copper tile from changing color. Carnauba wax can be found in car detailing stores.
While they are technically frost resistant (not frost proof), we do not recommend using any of the metal tiles for your outdoor non-covered projects.
They are not fireproof, but they can be installed as a fireplace surround.
Just make sure the tiles that do have glass pieces are not installed too close to the fire.
Yes they can. Just make sure the tiles that do have glass pieces are not installed too close to the fire.
The EMT_ALWF11-SIL-CB aluminum tiles can be installed on floors in dry areas.
Because they can be slippery and could break under heavy weight since the stainless steel and copper tiles are metal caps on ceramic backings, we do not recommend them to be used on floors.
However, the tiles can be used as a floor accent or liner application.
The metal tiles could be used in any indoor space, and depending on your location, even in semi-covered outdoor areas. They could beautify a hallway, a bedroom, a gym, an office, a covered patio, etc. They can be used as a wall or floor accent or liner application on any dry wall, whether it is located in an office, a store, a bar or a residence. Their application is only limited by our imagination.
Yes we do. Please see below the tiles that do not require grout:
All metal tiles offered on this site do not need to be sealed.
However, some people choose to seal the grout, as it is porous and can stain if not sealed.
We offer different types of border edge tile. Please see the list HERE
The pencil edge tile (also called chair rail, bullnose edge) is rounded and 19mm thick; it gives a more pronounced edging effect relative to the mosaic tile. Please click here to go to our pencil border edge tile.
The flat border edge liner on the other hand provides a more subtle edge as it is only 10mm thick with a rectangular face similar to most of our tiles. Please click here to go to our flat border edge tile.
You could also buy a schluter strip (also called edging strips, tile transition strips, L channels) at one of the big box hardware stores if neither of these two border liners work out for your project.Â
For more information on border edge tiles, check out the bottom of our Installation Page.
Yes, all the tiles can technically be used on rounded walls, but they might need to be installed vertically instead of horizontally.Â
We recommend you order a sample to make sure the design would fit your rounded wall(s) appropriately.
The sample swatches are generally 1/6 to 1/4 of a full sheet, depending on how complex or unique the design of a particular model is. A couple of the models have sample swatches that are 1/9 to 1/8 of a full sheet.
For our customers' convenience, we offer the possibility to order up to 5 different samples online at a very affordable price.
Tile Installation Tips
Make sure only non-sanded or epoxy grout is used to install the tiles.
Remove the non-sanded or epoxy grout from the tiles while the grout is still wet with a soft sponge.Â
This is particularly important for the Roman pattern stainless steel and pewter accents tile. The non-sanded grout must be removed from all the structured parts (pewter accents) with a soft sponge BEFORE the non-sanded grout dries out.
Avoid any and all abrasive products that might remove the finish from the tiles. See Tile Maintenance Tips below for more information.
If some of the tiles have black marks, you should use acetone or an adhesive thinner/solvent to wipe the marks away.Â

Tile Maintenance Tips
Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning products or any abrasive sponges.
The stainless steel tile is protected from corrosion by a thin layer of chromium oxide. It is therefore very important to never use any abrasive products, during or after the tile installation, that could damage this protective layer.
Stainless steel and aluminum tiles are low maintenance items. We recommend using only soap and (warm) water or a mild detergent with a soft sponge to clean the tiles, with a dry wipe at the end.
Alternatively a good quality non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner would be acceptable for the stainless steel tiles.
Should you have any issues removing production marks, we also recommend the use of acetone or an adhesive thinner/solvent to wipe the marks away. Please test it first on one tile to see if you achieve the desired result.
Please note all non-abrasive stainless steel cleaners and mild detergents must be completely removed from the tile, and should not be left on the tile to dry.
Please also keep in mind that 3D raised aluminum tiles are harder to clean since there are several different types of height/thickness.
Copper tiles are low maintenance items. We recommend using only soap and (warm) water to clean the tiles with a soft sponge.
Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning products or any abrasive sponges.
Do not use a copper polish or cleaner to clean the copper tiles as it might take the finish off. If the finish does get taken off for some reason we recommend you use shoe polish on the tiles.
